A Fish Tale… 🐠
At Chi Chi Mae Sport Fishing, we've been passionate about fishing for over 30 years. Our Owner, Jamie O'Brien, once a commercial lobsterman in an earlier life out of Plymouth, Massachusetts, started this business for his love of the sport and desire to share it with his kids and others. He has 18 years as resident of Playa Zancudo since purchasing his fishing camp in 2007.
After many years operating in his various entrepreneurial businesses, he started this one to slow life down a bit, to live more in the meaningful moments, to have a healthy hobby, to create a family-oriented environment, and to consistently force himself to fully immerse into the intense nature we are so spoiled to have in our front yard, The Golfo Dulce.
Captain Jamie knows talent. And he has selected the best available co-captains and mates in Playa Zancudo to offer the best, most knowledgable and safest services to his charter clients who choose to come to him for action. Safety and service are our highest priorities. You can rest assured that you are in good hands.
He recently upgraded his boat in an acquisition of a 34’ Black Fin vessel complete with 2 newer 250HP Suzuki 4 stroke outboard engines, tuna tower with outriggers, fish fighting chair, below deck bathroom, and all the best electronic equipment and fishing gear for getting them fish on da boat!
